MICHAEL BARTLETT
Our treasurer comes to us with a solid financial skillset built on 28 years of accounting, controllership and consulting experience.
Mike is a retired CPA in good standing. He spent many years in the Small Business world before shifting to a Head Office managerial position at Chartwell, a large owner/manager of Retirement Homes and Long-Term Care facilities. He finished his career as a software consultant, specializing in Property Management.
With his wife, Diane and their fuzzy canine friend, Lucky, Mike is happy to call Port Dover their home.
He enjoys keeping physically active on tennis and pickleball courts and will occasionally take his canoe into Algonquin Park to reconnect with Nature. Mike’s creative outlets include woodworking, photography and cooking.
Like most members of the Hope Harbour congregation, Mike is drawn to their message that God will get you through your struggles.
In his case, the struggle is in being the primary caregiver for Diane, who suffered a catastrophic brain injury in 2016, leaving her paralysed on her left side and unable to care for herself.
Attending Hope Harbour Worship Services on Sundays helps to replenish their spirits and commitment. Pastor Wendy’s messages never fail to inspire!

Rick's life has always been centered around his greatest treasures-his wife, Judy, of 50 years, his two sons (one of whom has passed), and his four grandchildren who keep him on his toes.
An avid fisherman and part time golfer, Rick often brings his family along for the adventures, making memories that are cherished by all.
His love for the outdoors is matched only by his heart for people— especially those who have fallen through the cracks.

Rick worked as a heavy equipment operator before retiring, but his life's work has truly been in service to others. He has participated in mission trips to Jamaica, spent time at the New York School of Urban Ministry, and in the 1990s started an outreach program where he served as director-feeding, clothing, and sharing the love of Jesus with those in need.
In retirement, Rick and Judy spend their winters in Roatán, Honduras, where he continues part-time mission work.
Through his faith, family, and service, Rick has built a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion that touches everyone who knows him.
